Professional Interests: My clinical work centers on mental health, substance use, and supporting client autonomy. Over the past two decades, I’ve worked across a wide range of settings, including outpatient clinics, forensic mental health, medication assisted treatment programs, state hospitals, community-based services, and street outreach. I have dedicated part of my practice to men’s health, subcultures, and working with marginalized communities.
Theoretical Orientation and Therapy Approach: I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Harm Reduction. My therapeutic style is strength-based and person centered, with an emphasis on creating a safe, collaborative space where students can explore their experiences and work toward their goals. I am currently completing training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT I) through the Sleep Health and Insomnia Program at Stanford.
