Counseling Services Specialist Graduate Employee

Pronouns: She/Hers

Alma Mater: Washington State University (BS & BA, 2016); University of Oregon (MS, 2019)

Professional Interests: Clinically, I am passionate about offering mental health services to the college population experiencing adjustment to transitions, anxiety, depression, identity development, and trauma among other mental health concerns. I am constantly in awe of the empowerment that clients can obtain from counseling services and am honored to be a part of the therapeutic process. Research wise, I value the offering of equitable services to underrepresented populations and aim to utilize research as a tool for social justice. Specifically, I am interested in how the U.S. school systems can better serve Latinx immigrant individuals, parents, and families especially as folks adjust to a new host country.

Personal Interests: I am very family oriented and love spending time with my partner, my dog, and my parents. I am a total homebody and enjoy wrapping myself up in a warm blanket and watching a movie or show!

UO Love: Prior to the pandemic, I enjoyed eating out at Chula’s, Newman’s Grotto, Ta Ra Rin, and El Super Burrito, but now settle for takeout! I also love how easily accessible the coast is from Eugene and enjoy getting out on hikes when I have the chance.
