Professional Interests: My approach to therapy is integrative, and orients around the concept of “different strokes for different folx” and multicultural counseling. It is my firm belief that everyone’s cultural context plays an important role in our understanding of how we both experience the world around us and within us. In regards to theoretical perspectives, I primarily use tools and frameworks from psychodynamic theories, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and existential humanistic therapy. I have a strong interest in working collaboratively with students with diverse backgrounds, and have extensive experience working specifically with Asian Americans, and LGBTQIA+ students with a variety of different concerns. In addition to wanting to specialize in cultural diversity, I also enjoy working with others on understanding identity development, relationship concerns, developing self-compassion and psychoeducation.
