Professional Interests: I use psychodynamic, interpersonal, and humanistic-existential therapies from within a foundational social justice lens. From this integration of approaches I work collaboratively with my clients to help them understand how intrapersonal and interpersonal patterns developed and are repeated in their present day lives. I emphasize the central role of our relationships – with others, the various environments we operate in, as well as with larger systems – in shaping our perceptions of ourselves, others, and how we act to get our most central needs met. I view change and transformation as an inherent possibility in all of us and view this process as highly experimental and experiential. From this perspective I help those I work with to engage with change as a flexible process in which new behaviors are tested and then evaluated for their utility according what is ultimately most meaningful and valuable for them. Throughout all phases of therapy I give emphasis to the role our various identities play in creating intersecting experiences of privilege and oppression that have deep implications upon our well-being. I attend to power in my relationships with others and frequently invite dialogue on this to better understand how our identities impact the work we do together. I am a generalist by training and enjoy working with a wide variety of concerns. I have particular interests in working with LGBTQIA+ individuals, ranging experiences of trauma, family of origin concerns, and various other relational concerns. I also have a strong interest in supervising and supporting clinicians in training.

Personal Interests: I enjoy spending time outdoors whether that is a neighborhood walk, hike, or trip to the coast with my partner and our dog Sage. Being an introvert I recharge by spending time in meditation and reflection. I love architecture and interior design and will always talk about craftsman, arts and crafts, mid century modern, and contemporary modern architecture and design. I also love exploring local businesses, particularly restaurants and coffee shops.

UO Love: The outdoors! I appreciate the proximity to hiking trails, mountains, and the coast we have here. I also enjoy that Eugene is as in love with coffee as I am.
