Pre-Doctoral Intern Program
The predoctoral program is a one year, full-time,
stipend program which integrates developing conceptual knowledge,
applied skills, and competence in individual psychotherapy,
couples counseling, group therapy, clinical assessment, ethnic
and lifestyle diversity, crisis intervention, clinical supervision,
consultation, outreach programming, and professional ethics
and decision-making. Qualified candidates must be doctoral
students in counseling or clinical psychology with all course
work, practica (1200 practicum hours; 400 direct service hours),
and qualifying examinations completed by the start of the
internship. Psychologists seeking training to change specialties
to the counseling or clinical areas must complete the same
didactic and practicum requirements.
