"IT TOUCHES US ALL"
According to the Jed Foundation developed at Duke University, suicide
is the second leading cause of death among college students. The University
of Oregon’s Suicide Prevention Task Force is working to eliminate
this statistic from the UO campus by increasing awareness of the issue
and educating students of the many mental health services available
here to help. A Suicide Report Form can be found here.

Other Helpful sites
We have found the following sites
to be helpful, however we don't have any control over the current
or future content and can't take responsibility for what is on
these sites. A virtual pamphlet put out by another
university may refer to services available only to students at
that university. University of Oregon students should, of course,
contact instead the Counseling and Testing Center, in the Student
Health Building, second floor, 346-3227, between 8:00 am and 5:00
pm, Monday through Friday. The after-hours Crisis Center number
is 346-4488.
