Alma Mater: University of Oregon (2016)

Professional Interests: My approach to counseling is an integration of interpersonal, humanistic, and cognitive-behavioral therapies. Basically, I work with clients to develop a respectful and collaborative partnership, and use a range of strategies to help clients develop insight, reduced distress, and change unwanted patterns. I also take a multicultural and ecological perspective, and find it critical to understand clients’ backgrounds, contexts, and identities, and to adapt the counseling process to fit clients’ needs. My primary clinical interests include working with identity concerns, trauma, anxiety and depression, grief and loss, existential and spiritual concerns, relationship difficulties, men’s issues, as well as academic and career development.

Personal Interests: I like hiking and camping throughout Oregon, from the coast to the mountains. I like to cook, especially for friends and family, and love trying foods from around the world. I’m a big fan of sci-fi. I like playing basketball, and try to find ways to stay fit and active
