The decision to come to college and pursue an education happens differently for everyone. While some apply to college before they have completed high school, others do so years later, or start college and have to take some time off only to resume down the road. For these nontraditional students, the college experience can be very different. Time invested in other areas of life or simply maturing with age may at times leave you feeling at odds with the people around you. Yet the need to belong and feel supported are true regardless of when you arrive at school

UO OrgSync: this is a great resource for finding opportunities to connect with others. It contains a searchable database containing most the different student organizations offered at UO currently. It's also organized alphabetically or by subject.
Student Support Services: part of the Teaching and Learning Center, the SSS provides funding opportunities, academic support, and advising to students whose situations qualify for additional support.
Nontraditional Student Programs: part of the Dean of Students office, they provide support and programming for nontrad students on campus.
Nontraditional Student Union: a place for nontrad students to gather, connect, and share resources.
Moss Street: a childcare center available to UO student parents
Olum Child Development Center: a childcare center for UO students.
