Movember is an annual event which takes place every November and sees men across the world grow moustaches to raise awareness around men’s health issues including mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer. Come check out our week of events focusing on men’s health and enter our Movember photo contest to show support for men’s health. Events are open to all genders!
Movember Photo Contest!
Send us a photo of you Movember mustache (real or fake) to show support for men's health and mental health. Eligible participants will be entered into a raffle drawing to receive a prize. Photo booth available all month in the Duck Nest in the EMU or find the survey here.

Free Bro-Yoga Class
The UO Rec is offering one free “Bro-yoga” class for men. Bro-Yoga combines core-strengthening moves, functional exercises, and traditional yoga postures to challenge your body and ease your mind. This class is designed to build lean muscle, improve flexibility, and break a sweat all while reducing stress in this strong, athletic yoga class.

Movember: Men’s Health Panel Discussion
This panel discussion will highlight the challenges facing men including mental & physical health concerns, gender expression, intersectionality, and healthy relationships. Panelists from the UO and Eugene community will share their experiences in dealing with men’s issues and will offer suggestions for changing the ways we think about masculinity.

The Mask You Live In Film Screening and Discussion
The 2015 documentary film The Mask You Live In follows boys and young men as deal with negative messages around masculinity and gender expression. This film illustrates how we, as a society, can raise a healthier generation of boys and young men. Snacks will be provided!

“Locker Room Talk” and Healthy Male Sexuality
The ways men talk about women and about sexuality have been in the news a lot lately, including coverage of the presidential election. Let’s talk about why some men talk like that, and how can we learn and live out different ways of connecting to each other and to the people we care about.

Free Men’s Cross Fit Class
The UO Rec is offering one free CrossFit class for men. Webfoot CrossFit, is a strength and conditioning program that incorporates weightlifting, gymnastics, body weight, and high intensity training to help participants physically feel their best and develop a lifelong love for fitness. Certified CrossFit coaches will work with participants to increase flexibility, strength, and power in a fun and supportive environment. All workouts are scalable and participants of all athletic ability are encouraged to attend.
