The Counseling Center at the UCTC provides free, brief phone consultations to faculty, staff, family, friends or others with concerns about a UO student. During a phone consultation a therapist can help identify available resources, discuss options available to the student, suggest ways to approach a student needing support, and help you identify next steps. A consultation can also be used to ask about what services the Counseling Center offers and how to proceed if you would like to start therapy or join a therapy group at the Counseling Center.
To schedule a consultation, call our main office line at 541-346-3227 and ask to speak with a therapist. Your consultation will be scheduled as soon as possible.
Please note: the UCTC provides confidential psychological services to students, consistent with the parameters of state and federal laws. While many faculty and staff consultations about students may be kept confidential, there are times when University policy or state/federal statutes require UCTC staff to disclose information to other university officials.
