APA Doctoral Psychology Internship

The doctoral internship program in health service psychology is a one year, full-time, stipend program which integrates:
- Developing conceptual knowledge
- Applied skills and competence in individual psychotherapy
- Group therapy
- Diagnostic assessment
- Crisis intervention
- Clinical supervision
- Outreach programming
- Professional ethics and decision-making
Qualified candidates must be doctoral students in APA/CPA Accredited counseling or clinical psychology programs with 500 practica intervention hours verified by application deadline as well as qualifying examinations completed by Nov. 4, 2016. Psychologists seeking training to change specialties to the counseling or clinical areas must complete the same didactic and practicum requirements.
All materials must be available for review on-line by our due date of Nov. 3. Complete the Uniform Internship Application, APPI, found on the APPIC website at www.appic.org, then click on 'APPI On-Line'. You will need to submit a cover letter, current vita, your official graduate transcripts (doctoral and masters level) and three current letters of reference including one reference from a college counseling center supervisor. This is a 12-month, 2000 hour internship that begins on August 21, 2017 and ends on August 20, 2018.
